Cookie Policy
How and why Noula uses cookies and similar technologies.
Last updated: April 2026 (v1 — this document will be reviewed by counsel before general availability).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies (localStorage, session storage, and pixels) serve the same purposes. This policy explains how Noula uses them.
2. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for Noula to function: they keep you signed in, remember your preferred language, protect against CSRF, and let you complete a booking. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies while using Noula. Examples: Supabase auth session token, NEXT_LOCALE, Stripe's __stripe_mid (for fraud prevention).
3. Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember non-essential preferences — theme (light/dark), last used city, notification dismissals. You can clear these from your browser at any time.
4. Analytics
We use privacy-first analytics to understand which pages are used and where the product can be improved. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out from Settings → Privacy.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by our processors — Stripe (payment security and fraud prevention), map tiles providers (if you view a map), and Cloudflare (bot protection). These services set their own cookies according to their privacy policies.
6. Managing Cookies
You can clear cookies from your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break authentication and booking flows. Mobile devices offer similar controls under system settings.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
